Workshops

Water Without Waste.

Do you know whether your sites draw from water-stressed sources, and whether what you discharge is safe? A live session on Future-Fit Break-Even Goal BE02: what the standard requires, where your organization stands, and what to do next.

For
Operations directors, facilities managers, engineering leads and sustainability managers. Also manufacturing, supply chain and environmental teams, and the finance partners who own resource cost. No prior knowledge of the Benchmark is needed.
Format
Two hours forty-five minutes. Live virtual.

What it is for.

Water is a local matter: what counts is the watershed each site draws from and discharges into. A company can undermine the quantity and quality of water that communities and ecosystems rely on without it showing in any group-level figure.

The standard is Future-Fit Break-Even Goal BE02, "Water use is environmentally responsible and socially equitable". In the words of the Benchmark: "A Future-Fit Business protects freshwater resources by minimizing water consumption in its commercial and industrial activities, and by ensuring its discharges do not degrade the water quality of receiving watersheds." The session shows what that requires, how progress is measured on the scale from 0 to 100 percent, and what your team has to do to find out where the organization stands.

It is not a complete benchmarking exercise. A real progress score needs data from every site, and more time than one session allows. Participants leave knowing exactly how to do it.

  • After the session: a 30-day follow-up pack of four weekly activities
  • After the session: the Future-Fit Action Guide for BE02 and a reading list
